About FloatPals
We started with one bad afternoon at a pool.
A four-year-old in inflatable arm bands, tipped face-forward every time she tried to kick, getting more scared with every attempt — and a parent standing waist-deep, arms out, unable to actually let go.
Arm bands and bulky vests have the same flaw. They hold a child up in the wrong position, and they don't get out of the way as the child improves. So kids either stay dependent on them, or they graduate to nothing at all overnight and get frightened.
What we built instead
FloatPals is a swimsuit with the buoyancy sewn into it, distributed to keep a child upright and level in the water — the position they'll actually swim in. The foam inserts are removable, so the suit steps down through three stages as your child gets stronger. Full float, partial float, no float. Same suit the whole way.
What we won't do
We won't call this a life jacket, because it isn't one. FloatPals is a swim confidence aid, not a Coast Guard approved flotation device, and it is not a substitute for an adult within arm's reach. Plenty of stores in this category blur that line. We'd rather sell fewer suits and be straight with you.
How we operate
- Free shipping on every order. No thresholds, no games.
- 30 days to return it. Wrong size, wrong print, changed your mind — send it back.
- A real person answers email. Not a bot, not a five-day queue.
If your child gets one afternoon of "look, I'm doing it" out of this suit, it did its job.
