Water Safety Promise
Read this before your child wears the suit.
We sell a product that helps children float. That means we have an obligation to be extremely clear about what it does not do.
FloatPals is not a life-saving device
The FloatPals Swim Confidence Suit is a swim aid. It is not a life jacket, not a personal flotation device (PFD), and it is not United States Coast Guard approved. It is not designed or tested to keep an unconscious or non-swimming child face-up in the water.
Do not use it in place of a Coast Guard approved life jacket on a boat, dock, or open water.
Supervision is not optional
An adult must stay within arm's reach of a child wearing this suit, at all times, in and around water. Drowning is fast and silent. A float suit changes how a child moves in water; it does not change the need for a set of eyes and a pair of hands close enough to reach them.
Before every swim
- Check that the foam inserts are seated flat in their pockets and none are missing.
- Check the zipper runs fully closed and the fabric has no tears at the seams.
- Confirm the suit still fits snugly. A suit that has been outgrown rides up and shifts buoyancy off-center.
- Replace the suit if foam is compressed, crumbling, or waterlogged.
Learning to swim
This suit supports lessons. It does not replace them. The single best thing you can do for your child's water safety is formal swim instruction from a qualified teacher. Ask your local pool, YMCA, or parks department about learn-to-swim programs.
